Changelog

What's new

The website, the game server and the in-game mod. Newest first.

September 16, 2026

  • Boards you can shape, and boards you can deleteWebsiteBingo boards can now be built with maps you choose yourself - paste TMX links, or pin one to a particular square and let the draw fill in around it - plus filters for map length, upload year and tags to leave out. The person who made a private board can delete it, which until now nobody could.
  • A guide for people who have never been hereWebsiteBoth bingo pages have a How it works button that starts where a newcomer starts: sign in, link a TMX account, and why each of those exists. Bingo is its own menu in the header, with Build your own in it.
  • The in-game overlayGame modA mod for TrackMania Nations and United Forever that puts your bingo boards on screen while you drive - the time to beat on every tile, a button that loads any of their maps, and whether the map you just started is still open for the project. One installer, and it connects to your account with a code.
  • Marks from the game say what they meanWebsiteA map marked from inside the game is labelled as such, shows how far through the lap you are, and expires in minutes rather than two hours - so a game that was closed an hour ago stops claiming a map.

September 15, 2026

  • Pick your own skin, and a role for 2000 completionsWebsiteThe appearance setting moved to your profile and follows your account to any browser. The completion ladder gained a 2000-map role.

September 14, 2026

  • The map inspectorWebsiteDrop a .Gbx on the page and it draws the map three ways, plots blocks and MediaTracker triggers, checks the medals for edits, and answers the exclusion sheet's own questions about it. Everything happens in your browser; only the map's 22-character id is ever sent.
  • The exchanges after ForeverWebsiteThe front page slides right from the five classic exchanges to TM2 and 2020, and re-tints as it goes. What is left per environment is charted, and the completion bars got their scale fixed.

September 13, 2026

  • 100tmx.com, and a site that works on a phoneWebsiteThe project moved to its own domain, keeping the old one redirecting and Discord sign-in working across the move. Tables drop columns rather than shrink them below 720px, and the charts stopped rendering wider than the screen.
  • Check TMX before you drive an open mapWebsiteOpening a map that is still open asks the exchange there and then whether somebody has just finished it - the catalogue behind the page can be up to an hour old, and that hour is an evening's work.
  • Linked accounts count everywhereWebsiteBingo and map marks used to ask the Discord links table directly, so somebody who had proved their TMNF account was told they had no TMUF account - while every leaderboard already showed both as theirs. 17 of 27 linked players were affected.
  • The playlist stops repeatingGame serverPlayed maps are pruned from the server's playlist, so the same tracks stop coming back around, and the dead-stream alarm stopped firing when nothing was wrong.

September 12, 2026

  • BingoWebsiteA weekly board drawn from maps nobody has ever finished, private boards anyone can build, line bonuses, live standings in each player's colour, and a board that redraws itself when somebody fills it.
  • Mark the map you are drivingWebsiteA courtesy signal on the remaining list so two people do not spend an evening on the same map. Nothing is reserved and it has no bearing on credit - that still comes from the first replay on TMX.
  • A site that answers while it is busyWebsiteThe dashboard was rebuilding five exchanges' worth of aggregates on every hit and taking the whole site down with it. Everything a hot page touches is cached now, and a deploy warms each worker before it serves anyone.
  • The map it says it is onGame serverThe status page identifies the running map instead of assuming it, says why when it cannot, and the checkpoint count is right.

September 11, 2026

  • The tracker opensWebsiteWho finished which map first, across all five TrackMania Exchange sites, with the scoring, the burn-down, the leaderboards and the Discord bot - replacing the Google Sheet and Apps Script the project ran on.
  • Surviving a dead callback streamGame serverThe controller could lose the game server's callback stream while still looking healthy: no chat commands, no map picks, the same tracks repeating. It now detects that, reconnects without kicking anybody, and /skip and /votemap work again.

August 16, 2026

  • Map history, votes and widgetsGame serverClickable in-game widgets, /loadmap by id, map voting, a Multilap preset, and /rounds for multilap maps.

August 15, 2026

  • The 100% TMX randomizer opensGame serverA public TrackMania server that serves maps straight off the exchanges: impossible-map filtering, a leaderboard, curated presets, checkpoint and top-10 HUDs, replay delivery, and a live status page.

Written by hand rather than generated from the commits: a commit message is for whoever maintains the thing, and most of them are about a bug nobody outside ever saw. The website’s own history starts on 11 September 2026, when this replaced the spreadsheet it grew out of; the game server has been running since 15 August 2026.
