Small things that answer a question about a map or a time. Everything here runs in your browser unless it says otherwise — map files are not uploaded anywhere.

Map inspector

Open a map file and see its layout from above, where the checkpoints are, the medal times, the mode, and anything the author wrote into it.

Useful before you drive something: how long is it, how many checkpoints, is it a multilap, and is it already on TMX.

Medal times

Turn an author time into the bronze, silver and gold times, or work backwards from the medals to roughly what the author time must have been.

For when a map lists three of its four times and you want the fourth.

Track signature

Every map carries a UID that survives renaming and re-uploading. Look one up and find every track on every exchange that shares it.

Answers “is this the same map?” and finds duplicate uploads of one piece of work.

Still to come: a replay viewer, and the inspector’s own unfinished half — your own block names to plot, presets for floating water and TMUF underground roads, and MediaTracker trigger areas. If one of those is the one you actually use, say so in the Discord and it goes next.

The maths and the method behind these are Weregoose ’s, worked out in a spreadsheet and rebuilt here with his blessing. Map files are read with gbx.js, on a format mapped out by BigBang1112’s GBX.NET.
